FAQs
Fully informed: you will find lots of answers to questions about bathroom taps here.
The ceramic cartridge of the mixer tap may have to be replaced as the cartridge may have been damaged by dirt. Try opening and closing the cartridge several times, and if that doesn’t solve the problem, then you will need to get a new cartridge for your tap.
You might have to tighten the connection hoses of your bath taps. If this doesn’t solve the problem, then you will have to replace them.
The reason for this is the water-saving aerator on the tap. This generates counter pressure, which limits water flow. When you turn off the flow, residual water can drip from the tap.
The thermostat cartridge of your mixer tap might be blocked and will have to be cleaned or replaced. Instructions on how to replace the cartridge on your bathroom tap can be found here.
First of all, check whether other taps in the bathroom have got hot water. If not, then there is no hot water in the system and the problem might not be the thermostat.
If there is hot water in the system, then maybe the filter is blocked. Clean the back pressure valves and make sure that they are properly inserted.
The shower might have been calibrated at a higher temperature than you are used to. Please calibrate the shower as shown in the assembly instructions. Also check that the back pressure valve is not stuck to the cold water side and in turn not letting enough cold water through. Remove and check the back pressure valve.
The O-ring or the push rod of the tap diverter is either dirty or degreased. You may have to clean them.
First, clean the shower nozzles with your fingers or a brush. Then turn on the water, and any dirt or limescale residue will be flushed away.
Check whether the hose is connected tightly to the shower head or to the shower valve and that the seal on the connection is not damaged. If so, then either the hose or the seal will have to be replaced. For more information, ask your plumber or read the product information in the download section of the products.
The product information will tell you if your bathroom tap uses a water-saving shower head. If you want to get more water out of your shower head, you can remove the restrictor. You will find it in the shower opening and you can remove it with long nose pliers. Please be aware that the volume of water flowing through it will increase, which in turn will increase your water bill.
The aerator inside your bathroom tap may have to be cleaned or replaced. The pressure in the water system can also influence the sound level of your product, you can check this on the pressure indicator.
