How to make the best trendy recipes from Turmeric Latte to Matcha Latte

Hot superfoods you can drink.

What do Hollywood stars and Buddhist monks have in common? Their passion for matcha, the delicious trendy pick-me-up. The ground green tea from the leaf tips of tencha tea is considered to be extremely healthy. Just like Turmeric Latte is, also known as “golden milk”. Turmeric has been used as a healing spice in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Another superfood drink is Rooibos Tea Latte with cardamom, cinnamon and vanilla.

Modern Dining, with its modern take on vintage patterns, is inspired by old Villeroy & Boch tile patterns. The young porcelain range is in line with the kitchen trend “bowls are the new plates”.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk or almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, turmeric paste or 1-2 cm turmeric root
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon honey, can add more to taste
Preparation

Heat the milk, turmeric powder and ginger in a pot and leave the ingredients to infuse for about 10 minutes. Then mix the concoction in a blender at the highest level for about 1 minute. The result is a golden yellow milk that tastes hot and sweet. You can add some honey to sweeten and cinnamon or vanilla pulp to spice it up a bit more.

Alternatively, you could make your own turmeric paste beforehand with water and turmeric powder. Cook a quarter of a cup of turmeric with three quarters of a cup of water over a low heat for 11 minutes. The prepared turmeric paste can be kept in a fridge for up to 3 weeks. And you can make golden milk, aka Turmeric Latte, in no time at all.
